What is the Savasocket 6 Gang?
- The SAVASOCKET™ is a new energy saving, surge protected multi socket for the home and work. It has the unique feature of being able to switch a bank of sockets off at the source, by using your standard home infra red remote. You could use any remote such as those used for your for TV, Video, DVD player/recorder, Sky box or Freeview.
- It will learn a specific button from any infra red remote control unit, i.e. The Standby Button enabling the user to control power to the SAVASOCKET (a 'STANDBY KILLER')

- Electratech is in the final stages of developing the first product, an innovative and patented device, called 'SAVASOCKET' ™. According to research carried out by the Energy Saving Trust, it will enable typical domestic users to reduce their annual home energy consumption by a minimum of £30.00 and anything up to 10% off your annual electricity bill.
The Benefits
- The Savasocket will pay for itself in the first year
- The Savasocket is remote controlled and users can turn on and off all surplus electrical equipment without having to leave the comfort of a sofa or chair.
- The Savasocket helps prevent accidents in the home
- i.e. the Fire Protection Association confirm that most fires in the home start at night and that all electrical appliances should be switched off and unplugged unless they are specifically designed to stay on.
- The Savasocket also acts as a surge protection, regulating the supply of mains electricity and prolongs the life of equipment.
- The Savasocket can help to 'Save the Planet' by reducing electricity consumption and cutting greenhouse gas omissions
- It is estimated that £250 million of energy is wasted each year by appliances in standby mode, that's 2 power stations a year constantly running to power the 'Standby Need'. Any reduction in this area will have significant implications on carbon emissions and the environment.
